Since being elected as the AOSEC Chairperson, Mike Grevitt has been setting goals and familiarizing himself with the most pressing issues:

By his own words, he wants to develop metrics of success to identify areas for improvement. Hand in hand with this idea of quantifying success goes his goal to use innovation to facilitate lower cost educational activities while reaching a greater constituency. Expanding the webinar program is one example of how AOSpine could reach a wider audience on a global scale.

Mike Grevitt is also excited about developing a mentorship program to bring aspiring and energetic young surgeons together with more senior members of our community. This will provide career development and guidance. Scrutinizing expenditures through the lens of maximizing educational value is also at the forefront of his mind.
