Back in business: What a difference a live day makes!

We are thrilled to share with you a selection of impressions from the first in-person events in the AO Spine Europe and Southern Africa region after a long period of virtual and on-line only learning.

The AO Spine Principles Level Specimen and Simulation Course—From Freehand to Navigation took place in Berne, Switzerland on May 17–18, 2021, led by Chairperson Markus Loibl, Educational Advisor Robert Dunn, and distinguished faculty members Christoph Albers, Lorin Benneker, Timo Ecker, Sven Hoppe, Dezso Jeszenszky, and Martin Stienen.

Chaired by Ian Zondagh, AO Spine organized also a face-to-face course with a hands-on workshop on bone models in Pretoria, South Africa, on March 12–13, 2021. The educational event focused on common degenerative spinal conditions that spine surgeons in their daily lives.

We hope that you enjoy the picture cavalcade as much as we do and welcome you to share the excitement with your networks!
