Self-directed, AO Spine precourse activities for the AO Davos Courses have been running online at full speed for a few weeks. AO Spine Course Director Emre Acaroğlu feels privileged to be able to offer a true blended learning experience with an added six-weeks of self-directed online learning prior to the live training program.
First impressions from faculty as well as participants are extremely positive, and participants are happy with the interaction.
"Without a doubt, this is the best course available!” Acaroğlu says. "The learning experience only keeps getting better and will culminate at the live online events from December 3–6."
AO Spine will share its learnings and experiences in the first quarterly newsletter in 2021. First, though, join us on a tour of the AO Davos Courses 2020 virtual congress center, where a highly interactive user experience awaits you!
Accessing the AO Davos Courses 2020 virtual environment is easy when you are logged into your AO account. Once logged in, you can start exploring the engaging online environment that will transport you to the virtual congress center. The public areas, including the networking events, are open to all:
The seamless, user-centered, immersive online experience planned for this year’s flagship event is accessible from wherever you are in the world. As the AO continues its 60-year legacy of shaping the future of medical education, this first-ever, fully online AO Davos Courses underscores the AO’s commitment to the health and safety of participants, faculty, staff, partners, and the Davos community.
This year, AO Spine offers four additional webinars that are open to everyone. Each morning or around lunch Central European Time (CET), a different topic will be presented, with world-class moderators and speakers.
The webinars will cover topics around degenerative cervical spine, osteoporotic thoracolumbar fractures, and adult spinal deformity. Rebroadcasts are planned on AO TV and recordings will be available afterward in the AO video hub for those who cannot attend them December 3–6, 2020.
