The Global Spine Congress
continues its success story

Watch Dubai City 7 News live coverage about the Global Spine Congress

For the first time in its history the Global Spine Congress (GSC) - the only truly international Spine Congress of its kind in the world - was held in the Middle East. The AOSpine flagship event took place from 13–16 April, 2016 in Dubai under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority. Also for the first time in 2016, the Global Spine Congress took place alongside the World Forum for Spine Research (WFSR).

For just under 1400 spine specialists around the globe, the GSC and WFSR provided an outstanding forum to exchange ideas, network with fellow spine professionals, learn about the latest research, techniques, and technologies in spine surgery.

The Scientific Programme of the Global Spine Congress included 2 Pre-Courses, 9 AOSpine Symposia, 7 Society Symposia, 55 paper sessions and 8 AOSpine Members-only sessions. In addition, pre-reviewed abstracts were presented as oral or E-poster presentations. The WFSR staged 8 Symposia and 2 Poster Sessions.

The 95 Symposia Speakers and almost 300 abstract presenters came from 74 countries around the world, which made the GSC once again a truly international event.
